Who We Are

The Philadelphia Church Stonefort is a mere portion of God’s church. We are a family of believers committed to sharing God’s love and the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ as told by His disciples. Our instruction comes from these disciples and the Bible .

It is our desire to please the Father and carry out His will for us through His Son, Jesus Christ and the power in that name by His Spirit. Therefore, we will abide by God’s Word to the best of our understanding as given by the Father.

WHAT IS LOVE?

According to I Corinthians, Chapter 13 love is……………

Patient, kind, not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. LOVE NEVER FAILS.

And also according to I Corinthians, Chapter 13…………………

As the Apostle Paul wrote:

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and DO NOT HAVE LOVE, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, BUT DO NOT HAVE LOVE, I am NOTHING. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I deliver my body to be burned, BUT DO NOT HAVE LOVE, it profits me NOTHING.

WHAT IS THE “GOOD NEWS”?

Jesus Christ was born of the Spirit, lived a sinless life, died as the ultimate sacrifice for our sin, AND was resurrected that we might obtain eternal life as the gift of God.

And Jesus says in Matthew 24:12-13 And because lawlessness is increased most people’s love will grow cold. But he who endures to the end, he shall be saved.
